Iceland : Gullfoss waterfalls at sunset. Gullfoss, which means Golden Falls in Icelandic, is a waterfall located in the canyon of the Hvítá river in southwest Iceland. Gullfoss is part of the Golden Circle, a popular day excursion for tourists in Iceland. Gullfoss waterfall is 32m high and 70m wide.

Iceland is a volcanically and geologically active island in the North Atlantic Ocean, just outside the Arctic Circle. It is the most sparsely populated country in Europe. Many fjords punctuate Iceland's coastline, which is also where most settlements are situated. The island's interior, the Highlands of Iceland, is a cold and uninhabitable combination of sand, mountains, glaciers and lava fields.
