Skip the Use is a French band with electro funk, rock and punk influences founded in 2008 with musicians from Ronchin, near Lille and made up of Mat Bastard (vocals), Yan Stefani (guitar), Nelson Martins (bass) and Enzo Gabert (drums). In January 2012, the band was nominated for the Victoires de la Musique in the “Group or artist revelation scene of the year” category and also recorded their new single "Ghost", with which they became famous, on the Taratata TV show, with a choir. On February 8, 2013, the band won the prize for best rock album at the Victoires de la Musique.
