Description
Bora Bora Pearl Beach water bungalows, deserted beach and palm trees. Bora Bora is part of the Society Islands of French Polynesia. Bora Bora is worldwide famous for its aqua-centric luxury resorts such as the Pearl Beach, built on a motu (motu is a Tahitian word meaning “small islands.”) facing the main island. Coconut trees were historically of economic importance for the production of copra. The island's economy is now driven almost entirely by tourism. Snorkeling and scuba diving in and around Bora Bora’s lagoon are popular activities. Many species of sharks and rays inhabit the surrounding waters.
